Working principle of Dth Hammer
The working principle of Dth Hammer mainly involves compressed air driving the piston to reciprocate in the cylinder, thereby generating impact energy, which is ultimately transmitted to the drill bit for drilling operations. Specifically:

Basic structure and working process: The front end of Dth Hammer is directly connected to the drill bit, and the rear end is connected to the drill rod. During the rock drilling process, the Hammer dives into the hole and reciprocates the piston (hammer body) in the impactor through the gas distribution device (valve), hitting the drill tail, so that the drill bit impacts the rock at the bottom of the hole. At the same time, the high-speed rotation of the impactor in the hole is achieved by a separate rotation mechanism, usually by an electric motor or pneumatic rotating device outside the hole through the drill rod connected to the rear end of the impactor. ‌

Energy source and power transmission: The power of Dth Hammer mainly comes from compressed air, which is introduced into the inside of the impactor and generates impact energy through the reciprocating motion between the piston and the cylinder. This combination of pneumatic transmission and hydraulic impact makes drilling operations more efficient and reliable. ‌

Powder removal and cooling: The rock powder generated during rock drilling is flushed out of the hole by a mixture of wind and water. The mixed gas is injected into the impactor through the center of the drill pipe by the powder discharge mechanism, and then enters the bottom of the hole through the gas groove on the Hammer cylinder, thereby achieving the purpose of cooling and hole cleaning.

This working principle enables Dth Hammer to be effectively used in various engineering hole-forming operations, including mines in the fields of metallurgy, coal, chemical industry, building materials, and water conservancy, hydropower, highways, railways and other projects. ‌
