Alloy drag drill bits are forged from premium alloy steel and carbide, and feature cutting-edge welding technology and precise heat treatment. This combination ensures these drill bits have the highest drilling speeds and longest life, even in the toughest conditions.

In general, alloy drag drill bits are well suited for softer formations such as sand, clay, or certain types of soft rock. They may not be as effective in coarse gravel or hard rock formations. These drill bits are often used for drilling water wells, mining operations, geothermal projects, environmental studies, and exploration drilling. It is recommended to use scraper bits for pilot hole drilling whenever possible, as they produce easily recorded cuttings.

Three-wing alloy drag drill bits are known for their faster drilling capabilities, while four-wing scraper bits are favored for their durability, service life, and ability to drill straight holes.

Drag bit features:

1. Strong, one-piece, heat-treated 4140 alloy steel body for drill bit strength and durability;

2. CNC threading for proper installation and use;

3. Forgings are milled to better secure the carbide inserts.

4. 5.5mm thick carbide blades are used as standard.

5. The relief is hand-ground behind the carbide blade to achieve optimal performance.
